When my sister sends me an email, at the bottom of the email with here signature is this phrase:
The saddest summary of a life contains three phrases: could have, might have, and should have... So care more than others think is wise, risk more than others think is safe, dream more than others think is practical and expect more than others think is possible!
This phrase nags away at me everytime she sends me a email (which is quite often given the amount of time she spends surfing the web looking for jokes instead of working . hope she's not reading!). It seems a very appropriate maxim for anyone wishing to live Christian life with any kind of impact.
In Acts 16 some of the apostles tried going to Asia then to Bythinia but the Spirit stopped them so they went Troas instead. The point was that they were obedient to the word "go". The Holy Spirit is often symbolised by water. Stagnant water produces filth, desease, and death. Flowing water cleanses, heals and produces life. If we keep the spirit given to us to ourselves instead of letting it flow through us it will produce death, just like the mana was only meant for one day in the desert then roted and produced worms the next day. Life produces fruit and multiplies, you cannot multiply with death, just decrease. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end (Isiah 9 v.7) because His government is a government of life.
It also would appear that it's exactly what God is saying at the moment, if something's on your heart don't just speak or think about it. Get on and do it! 99% of what holds us back is fear. |

This year we have seen a hand-built satellite to be launched by students into space, a paper plane launched by a 7 year old and his father into space and a potato dressed as Santa launched into space by a class of schoolchildren (Articles 1 2 3).
At the beginning of this year I received a vision of a million stars rising into heaven and being seated in the sky above the earth's atmosphere. It would seem that there is a general enthusiasm for the theme of ascension that would reflect a greater spiritual rising of soaring spirits nearing the place of being seated with Christ in heavenly places.
The most interesting and profound thing I found about this paralelle is that a few years ago only the few "chosen" where able to "launch into space" but now it's accessible to anybody, even small children can do it!

Fear (Extract from Bill Johnson's podcast) |

We live having been bought with a price with a decree made over us by God himself; "Everything that comes your way has a good ending because I'm in charge". (All things work together for good). Fear steals, it robs us, it reduces one who can decree transformation into the world to one who makes petitions. Petitions aren't bad but we work into a place where we make decrees to bring transformation to release kingdom.
But what fear does is reduces us to a person who just asks God what we are unsure of him even wanting to do. Because fear is absent of love, fear is like the "John the baptist" of the demonic realm, it's the forerunner to the spirit that comes to kill, steal and destroy.
- Fear can only grab hold of what love hasn't grabbed hold of.
- Fear can only influence that which is not under the influence of love.
In a trial what happens is people become afraid and nervous, like "oh no, this might happen, or we might get this report from the doctor or have this financial problem", all this stuff happens out of the realm of fear. The crazy thing is that fear is a self fulfilling prophecy. It invites the very thing you're afraid of. Job said it himself "what I have feared has come upon me", might that be the open door that brought the assault on his life?

Megan's campaign to keep explicit material out of sight |
|
Tuesday, 21 September 2010 13:33 |
Megan from our fellowship is campaigning to get pornographic magazines age restricted, out of reach and out of sight. This is her message:
"My aim is to have all explicit magazines age restricted and kept out of sight. After walking into a Plymouth newsagents and seeing a whole wall from floor to ceiling covered in hardcore pornographic magazines I was shocked that there are no laws on this. As a mother I deserve the right to choose whether my children get subjected to such images, particularly in a so called 'public place'. I certainly didn't feel 'free' walking innocently into a shop where clearly the option to buy and openly veiw porn is placed at higher importance than my childrens innocence. Please sign my petition and along with MP Gary Streeter, our concerns will be presented at Westminster."
If you feel concerned please click on the photo to sign her campaign.

The moon will turn to blood and the sun to sackcloth before the Day of the Lord.
First a few basics; the Jews consider signs in the heavens to be signals from God for encounters and for appointed times. We will examine 2 signs for the sake of this article Lunar eclipses which are thought to speak of trouble for Israel and solar eclipses which represent trouble for the gentile nations (in Jewish literature).
- Four blood red moons in succession (called a tetrad) sometimes don't occur for over 400 years. The 21th century has 5 or 6 tetrads but only one where they all occur on biblical holidays.
- The last time these eclipses happened in the 20th century was 1967-1968 which was when the 6 day war occurred and Israel recaptured Jerusalem. The time before that was 1949-1950 right after Israel became a nation again (again on the feasts of Passover and Tabernacles which are the 1st and last of the Jewish festivals). The time before this that a tetrad occurred on biblical feast was in 1493-1494 after all the Jews were kicked out of Spain (1492) and Columbus sailed for the Americas.

It's well known that bible prophecy is geared towards Israel, her destiny and outcome. Ezekiel 38-39 speaks of the war of Gog and Magog on Israel and the supernatural intervention of God to save His chosen people. Gog and Magog are a group of people who where once based in what is now called Iran but migrated to southern Russia and where known as the Scythians by the Greeks (The Scythians or Scyths were an Ancient Iranian people of horse-riding nomadic pastoralists). The name "Scythian" has also been used to refer to various peoples seen as similar to the Scythians, or who lived anywhere in a vast area covering present-day Central Asia, Russia, and Ukraine—known until medieval times as Scythia.
